Delfino Blu Hotel Reviews - Travelers Advice on Hotel Delfino Blu in Corfu

Delfino Blu is a small boutique hotel that will bewitch you with its beautiful simplicity. It is Samphitheatrically built at the foot of a
hill by one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. Particular attention has been drawn to details and aesthetics, combining corfiot tradition with modern living. Delfino Blu (formerly Casa Delfino) is both a shelter of serenity, far away from cosmopolitan Corfu and very close to the intense nightlife of Sidari resort. It is composed of 13 apartments and 2 suites (of which one is a Honeymoon Suite). Delfino Blu hotel disposes of 2 pools (one of which suitable for children), a restaurant, a Pool Bar and a Beach Bar. The Agios Stefanos village is situated north-west of Corfu town and it is built amphitheatrically on the hill of the cape bearing the same name. It is the place closest to the Greek borders with Italy and its coasts are washed by the Adriatic Sea. Small boats leave every day with destination to the Islands and to nearby areas from the small port, where one usually finds the fishing boats of the local villagers.

Re: A perfect vacation in Corfu !
by Maxgilda on Sept 2008 | Overal Rating of Delfino Blu Hotel: 10/10
We just returned from a week at this marvellous hotel, Delfino Blu hotel (formerly Casa Delfino).
Kostas and his family are delightful hosts and every detail of the hotel service is well thought out. Yvette, the reservations manager, was so helpful all year long while we planned our trip, from taxis to car rental. The beach is lovely and the hotel is just steps up from the water. We had a spacious apartment with seaview and balcony and everything they say on their website is abolutely true. The pool and beach bar areas are both social and private. There are several great restaurants in Agios Stefanos, and the restaurant at the Delfino Blu hotel serves delicious meals as well. The breakfast is extensive and the staff go out of their way to attend to your needs. We definitely plan to return and would highly recommend this hotel to our friends

Re: Our Perfect Wedding in Corfu!
by Pip1907Hertfordshire on July, 2008 | Overal Rating of Delfino Blu Hotel: 10/10
We had our wedding reception at Casa Delfino (Blu) in July 2008. The whole experience exceeded all of our expectations. The Owner of Delfino Blu, Costas and his wife Zoe did everything possible to make the day perfect for us and our guests. All of his staff were friendly, professional and could not do enough for us. The setting of Delfino Blu hotel (Casa Delfino) is perfect for a wedding reception. The terrace where we enjoyed our meal over looked the beach and sea. We were overwhelmed by the beautiful sun set. The sun melted into the sea as our evenings festivities began. The gentle breeze from the sea was very welcome as we sat down for our meal. The food at the reception was outstanding. The menu that we chose with the help of Costas was a big hit with all of our guests. One of our only regrets was that we had not booked to stay at the hotel for the whole of our holiday, as the positioning of the hotel is second to none. We would recommend staying at this hotel to all of our friends. Infact some of our guests are already booked up for next year. We would like to say a big thank you to Costas and Zoe again. We will see you again soon ...

Re: Just the best Holiday Ever
by Rawdon1 on July 2008 | Overal Rating of Delfino Blu Hotel: 10/10
We have just had the most amazing holiday. Everything that you see on the website does not do it justice.
The food is excellent. The owners Kostas and Zoe and all the staff could not do enough to make your stay first class. Delfino Blu hotel is finished to the highest standard. It is immaculate. Situated on the beach side you have the most amazing views of the area and the best sunset you will ever sit and have your meal to. Food - Breakfast - anything and everything that you could want is there. Evening meal - Plenty of variations 4 courses - excellent value. Agios Stefanos resort is not too big but plenty of places to go to for food and drink should you wish. Excellent responses whenever you e-mailed the hotel, Yvette the receptionist is willing to do anything to please the guests a star who is a credit to the hotel, along with Julian. The only warning I would say is that from our bedroom to the beach there was 90 steps, however, on the way back up from the beach there are 2 bars on route. Free sunbeds and towels at the hotel. Excellent resort and Excellent Hotel. We will certainly be going back

Re: A fantastic experience

We've just come back from a week at Delfino Blu great little hotel and I can only back up what others have said.
From the moment I contacted Yvette to enquire about booking, to the moment we were waved off at the door (seriously!), this was a completely fab experience. Rooms are really lovely - kept beautifully clean by the two hard working young cleaners, and well furnished and equipped. The restaurant serves great food and the location is stunning - I just could not get over the 180 degree view of sand and sea from our balcony. Best of all for a small hotel, the staff are great. Yvette and Julian at front of house were always available for a chat and advice on where to go and what to do. Stephan and Galin were brilliant in the restaurant and Silvio and Vodja in the pool bar kept us well fed and watered during our stay. Thanks to all of them. Just two things which may be helpful: firstly, there are some voracious mosquitoes around, which we had not bargained for. You can buy plenty of stuff in the local supermarket or bring your own defences! Secondly, Corfu airport is small and pretty chaotic. There were lots of queues even though it wasn't high season. If you are travelling independently be sure to arrive in good time so you don't get stuck in them. But don't let either of these minor annoyances put you off - we are definitely going back

Re: What a gem!”
by Frike-Cornwall on May 2008 | Overal Rating of Delfino Blu Hotel: 10/10
What a gem! Few hotels live up to their star rating, but this one certainly does and The Delfino Blu Hotel's (for that is it's new name so as not to conflict with another in Cyprus) web site is exactly accurate. Our room was spacious with a wonderful balcony overlooking Agios Stefanos beach and sea. It was immaculate and faultless. The design and colours are, as with the rest of Delfino Blu hotel, beautifully chosen. Costas both owns and manages the Hotel and is always in attendance. He runs a tight ship and is compimented by excellent staff. Having only 15 appartments means that you get to know the staff well and they are attentive and friendly. Yvette from Yorkshire is the Reservations Manager and is most helpful and prompt in helping with arrangements. Isn't it nice when you always communicate with the same person? We were on a half board basis which gave us full access to the breakfast buffet where you could choose from a full Greek, English or continental selection.
Dinner in the evening could be taken inside or out, overlooking the sea and was always served at your table. No buffet here. It was always four courses with a choice of three starters and main dishes. The full a la carte menue was available at additional cost. We never found the need. Delfino Blu must be on the best site in the village. The immaculate swimming pool and bar is set one floor down and from there down again to the beach and Mango Bar. Delfino Blu Hotel surroudings are very peaceful and although we were there early in the season, we doubt if it would be any different in August. We didn't come across a single night club and apparently the youngsters prefer to stay at Sidari, which was described to us as "rowdy" Agios Stefanos village with bars, retaurants, shops and supoermarkets is onle a 5 min walk away and there are several beach restaurants so you can walk to them barefoot. There is only one ATM machine in the village. New, but broken down when we were there, so cash is useful although the restautants and supermarket does take plastic. We hired a car from the airport (through Yvette) and were pleased that we did as the weather (early May) was a little dissapointing. With Corfu's usual good weather it would be unecessary as all facilities are close to hand and there are many excursions to be found locally. Would we go again and would we reccommend it to a good friend? YOU BET. Don't even hesitate. The Delfino Blu Hotel represents excellent value for money and you won't be dissapointed!

Re: Lovely place to chill and relax
by Nika44 on August 2007 | Overal Rating of Delfino Blu Hotel: 10/10
We stayed in the Casa Delfino in October 2006, near the end of the season in Agios Stefanos village. We booked directly with Delfino Blu hotel and Yvette was most helpful in arranging our stay, dealing with payment and organising our airport transfer on arrival/departure as well as hiring a car. The apartment we stayed in was lovely - stylish bathroom, lovely big bedroom with sofa and table, a small kitchen unit and a magnificent terrace with view over the sea and Agios Stefanos beach.
Breakfast was excellent and on two occasions we had dinner in the restaurant, which on both occasions was superb too. Pool and pool bar were nice too. Overall a very very nice place to stay in, especially if you want to chill out, relax and just enjoy life. I'm sure it would also be great for a family hotel as the long clean beach is just below Delfino Blu hotel. Agios Stefanos village (North-West Corfu) is quite touristy, despite being one of the smaller resorts, but you won't be stuck for restaurants, bars etc
