My wife and I have just returned from one of the best holidays we have had and excellent value for money too.
Right on the beach with a pool and bar metres from the sea. We selected an all inclusive week through QWERTY Travel via the Internet Site, Travelzoo. The Aquis Capo di Corfu Hotel has just completed an overall refurbishment. It was so good we thought the place was new, apparently it is approx 12-15 years old.

The rooms were excellent, very comfortable beds, slim line TV/DVD/CD player, with ensuite shower room and toilet. Food and drinks were excellent, albeit food sometimes a little cool due to a buffet style (but which was very regularly replenshished). Thoughtfully a Microwave was on hand for anyone wanting piping hot food. There was an excellent and imaginative salad bar,lots of varied hot food ranging from Steaks, Fish, Pastas, Stews, various vegetables to delicious sweets, which could be layered with Greek Yoghurt and Honey, nuts, choc chips and other goodies.

Breakfast too was a lavish affair with the opportunity for a full breakfast or simply cheese, ham, croissants etc.,plus some delicious puff pastry Greek Pies. There was an excellent array of delicious fresh breads daily. Our waiters, Georgeous and Babis(short for Harylambos) were very helpful, friendly and polite and treated us like VIPs! All the staff were excellent especially Eli,(Greek) Peggy (German) and Lizzie (English) ,all multilingual and exceeding the call of duty to help guests

Lizzie actually used her own PC in her own time to follow up on a transfer hiccup we experienced.
Also Slowra on the upstairs bar was beautiful and charming. The Chef and his assistants did a wonderful job and the lamb I enjoyed on our complementary evening at the A La Carte Restaurant was absolutely beautiful, washed down with excellent red (free) house wine. The French entertainers worked exceptionally hard to provide various daytime activities, Yoga, Volleyball, Aquarobics and put on a couple of great dance shows in the evening at the open air Theatre. The had such energy and enthusiasm and were very friendly and hospitable to both French and English guests. My wife, a young pensioner of 60+ joined in all of the above, while I exercised my right arm at the free bar.

A few words of warning- Aquis Capo di Corfu hotel is approx 40km from the airport and Taxis expensive (70-80 euros each way). Book a transfer, in advance if possible, approx £15 or 15 Euros each way. Kavos a 6 euro Taxi ride south of the Hotel is very very lively in the season. However our site situated between Lefkimi and Kavos was peaceful apart from the sounds of laughter and people enjoying themselve. Well done Aquis Capo di Corfu Hotel and Manager Spiros
