Arillas (in the North-Western corner of Corfu) is a small friendly holiday resort with a superb sandy Blue Flag beach (ideal for families) and a good range of bars and family-run tavernas. The pace of life is very relaxed through the day & continues much the same at night. For a change of scenery, to the South of Arillas is the resort of Agios Georgios (St. George NORTH), while to the North is the very family friendly beach of San Stefanos, each with their own individual character and both within easy reach. The nearby village of Afionas is generally considered the most beautiful on Corfu. Inland from the coast is "real Greece", with many small natural villages, largely untouched by tourism, nestling within the olive groves, mountains & wooded valleys. |
