Travellers Advice on Pelekas Levant Hotel | Corfu
Situated in an area renowned for its natural beauty, 11 km west of Corfu town, the Levant hotel enjoys a splendid position close
to the western shore of Corfu. Hotel Levant is located on the summit of Pelekas hill and therefore boasts a panoramic view over the surrounding area, allowing breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The hotel is just a short distance from the unspoilt beaches of the west coast, such as Glyfada, Kontogialos, Myrtiotissa, Ermones and Agios Gordios, while the island's main sights of interest are all within easy reach. Built in neo-classical style the hotel offers twenty-five romantically decorated rooms all with a view, spacious bathroom, TV and mini bar. Levant also boasts a lounge, café, swimming pool and an extensive terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea

Re: A Hidden Gem !

The Levant hotel in Pelekas is a hidden gem within a suberb location. With panoramic views all around and set within olive groves
it reminded us of a Tuscan villa and is a 'must' for romantics everywhere. Despite a major thunderstorm on the Sunday which left the hotel without power or water for 24 hours we had a most enjoyable stay and will definitely go back again.
The one drawback was the huge numbers of wasps (something to do with the time of year and the pending grape harvest) which made breakfasting on the terrace a potential hazard! Pelekas itself is delightful - there is a good choice of bars and tavernas and everyone is extremely friendly. There are four good beaches nearby. All in all a must for a short break in the sun..

The Levant Hotel is a charming small inn located on a mountaintop, just above the village of Pelekas on Corfu. Its rooms are comfortable and its restaurant and dining terrace are very pleasant indeed, Every room has a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and the distant sea. The famous "Kaiser's Chair"--a natural rock formation where Kaiser Wilhelm used to watch sunsets-- is just beside Levant hotel. Three beaches are close by, Glyfada and Pelekas beaches nearest, Paleokastritsa a bit farther. If you do not require a beach at your doorstep, this is an excellent central point from which to explore all of Corfu.

Pelekas is a small friendly hard working town where everyone you encounter is kind. If you are looking for a loud party hotel, this is not it. But if you want a hotel where you can bring your (polite) children as we did (ages 14 and 16) and have adjoining rooms, or if you want a beautiful, peaceful and romantic place to be for a while, this is the place. They have a pool, a restaurant with delicious food and unparalleled uninterrupted views, well decorated, spacious and clean comfortable guest rooms with large bathrooms and stunning views. Both of our rooms had balconies facing the sea. The manager was very friendly and helpful, as was everyone in the hotel. I cannot say enough nice things about the Levant Hotel & I highly recommend it. I will let my photos tell you the rest of the story

Last year we already had our doubts but unfortunately they were confirmed this year. Breakfast was below standard, there was no variation and the freshness of the bread can be doubted and there was not much sandwich filling. The service is mediocre and complaints are not dealt with adequately. The cleaning is inadequate too, towels are not changed regularly. T
he shower curtain was grimy and in need of replacement. The pool is dirty the deck chairs are smudgy and broken. The furniture in the dining hall needs to be modernised. In short Levant hotel in Peleaks needs a make-over because it its present state it is not @@. The drinks and foos were too expensive in comparions with the other cafes and the food was of poor quality

If you can afford this, you will not be dissapointed by the breathtaking views from your balcony, the relaxed and totally serene atmosphere of this relatively unknown Jewel of a Hotel. Charming and helpful staff who know the value of customer service. Levant hotel, situated at the top of Pelekas beside Kaiser View, could rank as one of the best Hotel experiences in the mediterranean if not the world. If you appreciate understated class - stay there! .
