Re: pleseantly surprised by the accomodation in Corfu Sea Gardens
by Miss_GC on July 2008 | Overal Rating 7/10
A group of 9 of us girls went to Corfu Sea Gardens to celebrate the end of our first year at college! when we arrived we were pleseantly surprised by the accomodation!! we had big clean rooms with a lovely view and near the entrance!! The maid was a **** as she woke us up every morning! but did provide clean towels and if we were nice she went away. Pool was lovely and the water sports on the beach went down a right treat!! They were wicked!!!!! Cocktails were nice and only 2 drinks per person wasnt that bad but the alcohol was watered down so we ended up buying vodka from the shop and adding it ourselves! oh and the tequila tasted like white spirit!! Barmen were wicked tho and we dont think that Spiros should of been sacked! haha.
Food started off okay at the beggining of the week but think it got re heated towards the end but it wasnt that bad as we didnt really eat much but if you have a big appetite you may have struggled to be satisfied! Entertainment in Corfu Sea Gardens was funny to watch as we just laughed until it got very annoying but guess some of the kids liked it!! Only other small critisism is that it was a bit too far away from the strip but was nice to be out of the way in the day time and the walks home sobered us up! (obviously not enough when we got 7 complaints in one night tho) haha love that. All in all a good holiday and the reviews don't give the hotel justice! VERY good value for money! And recommend it for a nice but cheap place if you book early enough!

Re: Corfu Sea Gardens staff were friendly and helpful

We booked as a late deal and only knew we were staying in Kavos. The Corfu Sea Gardens staff were friendly and helpful, but did mow the grass early in the morning annoying when your trying to sleep! Also our room was opposite reception so all the noise from coaches could be heard! The pool area was lovely although no mats on sunbeds so very uncomfortable, but lots of sun umbrellas, the pool bar provided snacks and drinks but a little on the pricey side.
The maids cleaned 6 days a week although the towels were only changed once, not enough! The kitchen was small but adequate and included a microwave. Corfu Sea Gardens also provided free safety deposit boxes, and air conditioning at a cost. Beware of the mosquitoes they were all over our room.It can be noisy with the drunks on their return in the early hours. Late flight back cost 30e to keep room on scandalous!!! Entertainment was average,ok for families but not really our taste.

Re: Great Holiday in Corfu Sea Gardens!
by mrswormBerkshire on August, 2007 | Overal Rating 8/10
There was 7 of us in our party, 3 children & 4 adults & we all really enjoyed our holiday at corfu sea gardens. The location is not so good as you are along way away from anything unless you are 18 & want to go clubbing all night in Kavos. Kavos is the only town to reach on foot, Otherwise you have to organise some form of transport. (Corfu town is over 1 hours drive away)
Corfu Sea Gardens hotel & grounds looked lovely, the rooms are very basic but they always are in Greece. Pool was beautiful, really clean & a fantastic temperature. Food was very nice & fresh lots of salads & hot food to choose from.
The downside to the pool area is the wasps, there is alot of them (also don't walk on the grass as this is where most of the wasps are, my little girl was stung walking on the grass in flip flops). At night there are loads of mosquitos. Some peoples legs were red raw with bites. (SO BEWARE!!) The entertainers Gina, Katie & Esther worked really hard & provided some excellent entertainment, they were so friendly & fantastic with the children. All in all It really was a lovely relaxing holiday but not suited for people who like to be busy sightseeing because unless you are prepared to do alot of travelling by car/bus, there is not much to see

Re: Could be worse but certainly could be better

Generally yhe Corfu Sea Gardens is a nice hotel, the rooms are basic a little damp but are ok. Certainly not 4* (3 star at best and a basic 3 star at that) but they are clean if not basic. Reception staff are nice but there is a rather smug gentleman who works in the restaurant who it is hard not to dislike! Food is very basic and often overcooked. You often find a meat from lunch conviently turned into something else for dinner! Pool is nice and clean entertainment is a bit "chavy" but the entertainers try their best.
Can be very noisy at night (a bit of a overspill of young "louty" types from Kavos. This resulted in a couple of restless nights! All inclusive is a joke, by 11pm (well 10.50pm as they set their clock ten minutes early) the all inclusive is finished and the expernsive drinks commence (5 Euros 40 for a cocktail!!!). Dont be expecting any quality vodka its the cheapest of the cheap here and the beer is so weak you can drink all day and still be sober!!! One other moan, the cleaner complained as we were not up early a couple of days and it was inconvient for her - eh hello we are on holiday???
