Alkion Hotel Reviews - Travelers Advice on Hotel Alkion in Sidari, Corfu
Hotel Alkion is considered to be one of the finest in the locality. Once you've experienced its facilities, excellent location and friendly atmosphere, we think you'll agree that it makes a superb choice for a memorable holiday. Alkion hotel is about 800m from the Sidari centre with its shops, bars and restaurants. There is a bus stop nearby for exploring Corfu town and Sidari beach is only a 200m away

Re: food was lovely and the staff were fantastic

Well me, my partner and son have just come back from the Hotel Alkion. And all I can say is brilliant, we had a room over looking
the pool. The food was lovely and the staff were fantastic. It is situated near the beach of Sidari resort and shops. The staff where all great with my son who's twelve and the owners were very friendlyon't give the hotel justice! VERY good value for money!
And recommend it for a nice but cheap place if you book early enough! Alkion hotel has entertainment on a few nites there is karaoke, bingo, quiz night & of course the greek nite, is excellent. And the waiters get up and do a greek dance that is not to be missed. We went on a lot of trips when we were there, but have to admit thought Thomson were to expensive, so booked with Ian across the road and it was half the price. Even the people in the shops were friendly, and would well recommend the Madison bar, the staff and entertainment are great. Cant wait to go back again next year

My friend and I had a fantastic time at Hotel Alkion, we are both 19 and fancied a relaxing holiday, plenty to do and with a bit of nightlife available. The staff at hotel alkion are extremely friendly and we had a quite few laughs with them, they were very caring and attentive. In the evenings there are always events held at the hotel, I played bingo, watched some Greek dancing and joined in with the karaoke. The food was lovely! My friend and I were very impressed with the food and never felt the need to eat out. Although we did miss breakfast a few times due to waking up late and instead went to the three little pigs (lovely food too!) down the road for breakfast. The rooms in the hotel were large, comfortable and always clean due to the fact they were cleaned every day. The air conditioning came in very handy! (be sure to ask for that the moment you arrive). The nightlife in Sidari was great; we enjoyed chilling out at the bars on the beach and befriended quite a few of the staff at the bars. We took advantage of the cocktails available and karaoke. Alkion is an amazing hotel, which I would recommend to all, there’s plenty to do for all in Sidari and I'll be back again.

Alkion hotel is fair to good. This comment pretty much sums it up. Some days its fair, some days good. I believe a review should give the pros and cons and overview to give leaning one way or the other. General stuff - our experience overall was a good holiday relaxing and hot. 40 degrees. All staff in Alkion hotel very friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment karaoke etc and bingo well worth staying up for 400 euro won by someone lucky, not us. Sidari beach since it goes hand in hand with the overall experience was avg. It could have been cleaner! Sea water I am talking about here.. go out far enough and it goes a lovely blue, closer in well.... but if you are a sun goddess then you will be fine. Alkion Hotel pool was lovely and in my opinion better than the beach. Star rating would give it a 2star plus, not a three star. Room nice and clean and air con a must, but this was an extra 35euro.
Cons - Breakfast was basic on half board basis croissant and toast with waiter service which was nice... but it did mean if you wanted anything extra you paid. Which left a bad taste I must say. 2.5 For a cooked English breakfast, extra croissant chargeable you get the idea. Now I don’t blame Hotel Alkion exactly for this, it should be Thomson who packages the holiday to change this; Ones perception of half board should cover a decent breakfast, it didn’t here. Buffet style breakfast would certainly be a winner here and remove any of this charging business at bar prices too! If you wanted extra orange juice. Pros - A VERY professional team of staff within the hotel and it shows. Friendly quick service, food overall was of a good standard. Room was very clean. Alkion hotel
location was close enough to beach and far enough away from the clubs so you got a good night’s sleep. Final overall - a good hot holiday that had entertainment, good hotel that looks after standards and their guests and would recommend it.

My husband and i have just returned for the Alkion hotel in Sidari. We were there for 2 weeks on a half board basis.
The hotel was very clean, maid came into room daily to change sheets/towels & mop floor. The food was fine, you got a continental breakfast and if you wanted to you could pay 2 euros to get an english breakfast. Evening meals were lovely there was always 4 choices of starters and 4 mains to choose from. Desserts were plentiful too. It was waiter service not like some half board where it is usually "all you can eat" however we found it to be really nice. The staff were very helpful and freindly. Sidari itself is good if you just want to chill out with not too much partying!!!! Think families would enjoy this but if your up for a mad one stick to kavos.
