The complex consists of the main building and two independent structures, an old and a new building. In the main building you’ll find a bar, reception area, lounge with satellite TV , swimming pool with indoor outdoor bar and the restaurant ROMANZA Hotel combines quietness, comfort, friendly service, natural environment and regular transportation to all areas of Corfu island. The village of Avliotes is located 3 Km Northeast to Agios Stefanos

Romanza Hotel is exactly what you would expect if you have read all the reviews on this site, peacefull, good accomodation, great views, good food and a very large hill.If this is what you want then you will not be disappointed and we enjoyed every minute of our stay from the welcomming we got and the goodbyes at the end. You can laze by the pool and read a book (must people do) or like us go to the beach which is amazing, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas only 7.5 euros so not expensive .What ever you do, San Stefanos is the place to go for relaxation. At night time there are lots of resturants all serve really good food our favourites were,....Little prince...Nafiskas and our hotel Romanza...worse was 2 Stars....yuk.......Lots of bars have entertanment , live groups ect....but most nights we ended up at Thomas Bay Hotel which had a really good atmosphire..... All in all an excellant holiday at Romanza hotel .....I haven't commented on the hill as you need to see it and try it yourself......

I too booked a holiday at the Hotel Romanza after perusing the (mainly) excellent reviews about this hotel and resort - and we weren't disappointed - in fact we enjoyed it so much my husband and I are turning into old saddos and are going back again in May 2008! Yes, the hill is a killer, but my, the views are worth it! I would suggest the road as the track down to San Stefanos beach has quite an incline and is frankly murder to get back up - particulary in the heat of the day.
The rooms in Romanza hotel are simple, but clean, with fresh towels every day. They have air con. Our room was on the ground floor and over looked the bay - beautiful. There is a good choice for breakfast and the lunch time and evening meals are very, very good - particularly if you can secure one of the tables on the terrace that over look the bay in order to watch the sun go down. The staff are friendly, professional and courteous - and the lovely Tracy in the bar is an all round decent human being and excellent bar maid. San Stefanos is relatively small and mostly laid over to bars and restaurants, of which we tried a goodly selection and weren't disappointed by any of them. The beach is sandy and clean and the water is warm. Heaven!
