We were at Gemini hotel with my wife from 28th July till 7th August ten nights. I absolutely agree with previous comment. The first four nights I couldn't sleep before 3am. The closely bar was very noisy and every night was a loud karaoke show. Even though there was appr. 30C in the room I have to close the door but it was useless. I can hear everything what happened on the street. I can hear the drunk young guys and motorbikes. If you would like to relax on your holiday don't go there! The room furniture and bathroom was realy poor and there wasn't double bed in the room. Don't go there for honeymoon! You can get only a separately bad and if you make a sex it will a bit difficult and the bed is creaking. The room was clear and every day was cleaned. We had a half pension for ten days. The breakfast was realy boring because you can eat same every morning. At dinner was pretty good but repeating week by week. The beach at Messonghi was awful. I couldn't understand how can people swimming on it.
A water was dirty and you cannot go into without appropiate shoes regarding to gritty beach. Next to the beach Messongi river goes to the sea increasing sodding water. We had to borow a motorbike every day to discover the ireland and discover a beautiful sandy beaches. We were a lot of beach and every of them was much more clearly than Messonghi. We were at Marathias long sandy beach (this was a number 1) and Paramonas, Agios Gordis, Glifada sandy beaches. Gordis was a little bit gritty appr. first 3m in the water, after sandy. Other ones were sandy.
Paleokastritsa was nice but there were too many people on the beach. Sidari and Peroulades was really beautiful but a water a bit dirty.
Sidari from Messonghi takes appr. 2hour to get there by motorbike. I can certainly offer a trip to Parga (mainland) and Paxos ireland. You can see by this trip where you should have gone to holiday
