The architecture of the
Corfiot villages is unique. Influenced by many nationalities such as the Bizantines, French, English, and Venetians among others, it embidies the affluence and the grandeur of the island.
The beauty of the Corfian hand carved marble door and window surrounds, large thick timber doors, marble staircases, stone walls with the colours of the warm out stucco are complimented by the evergreen olive groves, cypress trees and the thousand defferent colours of spring and summer wikd flowers. This unique colour explosion can be marvelled better in spring time in the local villages. Some local villages are: Lefkimmi,
Avliotes, Magoulades, Agios Matheos, Chlomos, Agioi Deka, Kinopiastes, Magoulades, Kavadades, Argirades, Afionas etc.
